Preparing for your Podiatry Virtual Visit Appointment

Virtual doctor visits can be referred to as telehealth, telemedicine, televisit, or online visit. Not sure how to be ready for your online Foot and Ankle Doctor's appointment and receive the online virtual foot and ankle care? Here's how.

Schedule and Confirm your appointment

Register on our online portal. Request to schedule an appointment. Once confirmed, put your scheduled appointment on your calendar.

Take pictures or a video of your concerns to show your doctor

If you don't feel you can show or point out the problem to your doctor with your device or your camera, then make sure to take a clear picture or a video of the problem with the help of a friend or family member. Show the doctor how you walk with a video of you walking down a hallway from head to toe.

Make sure your device is charged

Charge your device to make sure your call or appointment does not end prematurely. We would hate to have you waste your time if we cannot provide you with the full time and care you deserve.

Prepare a list of questions

Don't forget to ask the doctor everything that you want to cover so you don't need to make more  appointments than you need every time you remember a question you should have asked from the beginning. Write them down so you are ready for your appointment.

Upload or Submit your documents

Make sure we have all your test results, images, and notes ready to be reviewed at your appointment time so that the doctor can provide you with the best treatment and care. Upload any documents we may not have available on our portal system or fax them to us. Upload your ID and Insurance cards so we can ensure that we do not mistaken you for someone else and can get orders or tests covered by any insurance you may have.

Find and Test out your Best Camera and Device for your Appointment

Use the best camera so the doctor can see what you are seeing. Make sure that your device is reliable and in good working condition by testing the audio and video with a family or a friend so that you don't miss your appointment because of technical issues.

Check your Internet Connection

The worst technical issue could be poor internet connection where you cannot hear your doctor and your doctor may be able to see your foot and ankle concern on video. Save time by checking your video connection first.

Find a Quiet place with good lighting

It is very important for the doctor to hear you, see you, and see your issues clearly to provide you with the best care without wasting your time or money.

Complete all your intake forms and have your preferred form of payment  ready

Make sure to fill out all the required forms online. The more information you provide on the forms such as you medical history, medications, and concerns the better your podiatrist can help you with your care in the time schedule. We would want to utilize your precious time with your doctor on addressing your foot and ankle issues instead of completing your forms. Have your payment ready during the check in process of your appointment as payment is due at the time of check in.
